It is recommended that you should have 20% of your inverters rating in amp-hours for batteries (e.g. a 1000 watt inverter should have at least two hundred amp-hours of battery to draw upon.
this rule will allow you to run your inverter for 60 mins at full power while consuming 50% of the battery capacity.
It is not recommended to use car batteries with your inverter, starting batteries are NOT designed for the deep discharging that an inverter will require, and will not last long. |
